The Basilica di Santa Croce - Cripta Dei Caduti in Florence is a Franciscan Church that was consecrated in 1443. It abounds with marvellous works of art by different artists. Frescoes by Giotto adorn the Peruzzi and Bardi chapels, and the marble pulpit is an example of Benedetto da Maiano’s work. Two magnificent sculptures by Donatella, The Annunciation and the Wooden Crucifix are found here as well.
