Barcelona Sights, Sounds and Hotels
Antonio Gaudí, who died in Barcelona in 1929 at the age of 74, designed Parque Güell, Palacio Güell and Casa Mila in Barcelona. These works are positively universal judging by the various cultural sources that inspired Gaudi, and his architectural feats symbolize a very personal and eclectic style which was given boundless reign in the fields of architecture, gardens, sculpture and every form of ornamental art. Originally proposed to be an English style garden city, Güell Park is now a wonderful place to feast your eyes on Barcelona from high up and facing towards the sea. The Güell Park and Palace and Mila House reached the World Heritage List.
Parque Güell, Palacio Güell and Casa Mila in Barcelona, and also Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia Cathedral are alone worth the trip to Barcelona. Fear not however, there are so many wonderful sites and sounds to experience including the fabulous Barcelona hotels.
